As a prostate cancer survivor, I'd made time to be proactive with my prostate health, prior to my diagnosis. I have my Dad to thank for making me aware of prostate cancer. And this has allowed me to enjoy two pleasures in life - my family and my passions. One of my passions is photography. I've been a photographer since college and even shot professionally for about 11 years.
About four years ago, post-prostate surgery, I began getting back into photography and my wife, Diane, picked it up again too. Together, we have been able to enjoy photography as it allows us to spend time together, with friends & family, and venture out to different shoots in various cities/destinations. We've even started a photography business together - DB2 Captures - (Instagram - db2captures)
Prostate cancer and treatments don't have to consume your lifestyle or affect your quality of life. Take the time for you, and your spouse, to be proactive with your prostate health. Know your numbers - NOW, so you will have time to enjoy your family and passions later on in your life.
Below are some of my images, from some of our shoots, over the year.
